WHAT CAN I VOLUNTEER FOR?
There are MANY different types of jobs for which we need volunteers for at the festival ranging from working the Welcome and Information Booth, Check In, Initial Set Up, Take Down, Exit Surveys and not to mention THE BEST PART of volunteering is GET FREE STUFF!
SKILLS & TRAINING:
Most festival volunteer jobs do not require specialized skills.
All training will be done at the Training Meeting and on-site at the festival.
All volunteers will be assigned to a Volunteer Coordinator.
All skills will be discussed and questions will be answered in the mandatory Training Meeting (where you receive your FREE SHIRT).
• Volunteers are one of the mainstays of this festival-without their dedication and effort, we could not put the festival on each year. Each volunteer represents the "face" of AAF, and thereby is an ambassador for our organization. AAF expects that they will be enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, and professional at all times during their volunteer shifts. It will be important to report on time and ready to work to all shifts to which you have been assigned. In addition, volunteers are required to:
• Sign and return one copy of their Festival Volunteer Contract as soon as possible after receiving it.
• Attend one of the Training Meetings. plan to meet for approximately 3 hours. Attendance at one meeting is mandatory for all new volunteers and indicates a volunteer's commitment to completing their job assignment. Individuals who miss the training meetings and do not communicate with their Area Coordinator or with the AAF Office are subject to being replaced. The meeting location and exact dates will be in your volunteer contract.
